Hail to all you Die Hard Redskins fans! I have been a Redskins fan since before leaving my mother’s womb; how can that be, you may ask? Quite naturally, as a matter of fact, through heredity. You see, my father was a Redskins fan, considering the fact that he helped create me, I innately became bonded to the Washington Redskins for life. All kidding aside, I was born in Tennessee and the Redskins were the closest sports team around. My father drilled the Redskins tradition into my brain and, as a result, it has decided to make its permanent residence in the heart and soul of who I am. To give you a sense of the how serious of a fan my father is, consider this scenario: Following a playoff loss, my father’s anger (obviously accounted for) clinched his fist and clobbered the floor. As strong as I viewed my father at that time, he wasn’t stronger than the floor; he suffered a broken hand. Although I haven’t taken my fan hood that far yet, I still do have many years ahead of me to do act out my own share of passion driven outbursts. While those Redskins memories are cherished upstairs, I am creating some of my own with my upstart family. I have a five year old son who craves Redskins football; he begs to watch Redskins documentaries and game tapes. With my wife rolling hers eyes in the background, I can’t help but take pride in my little Redskins monster; oh yeah, I have a newborn boy as well. This quick glimpse into my Redskins family barely scratches the surface of the insanity, but my wife can tell you below the scratched surface is a full blown loony bin. Thankfully, I’ve escaped the padded walls, and I am excited to have the opportunity to share my Redskins opinions and news. I’ve given my heart, tears, cheers, and wallet to this team for 29 years and nine months (can’t forget the womb) and will do the same for the Die Hard Redskins Fan Community. Hail to the Redskins!
